World Turtle Day, 23 May 2020

Whole world is celebrating World Turtle Day, through planning and crafting projects to encourage and teach about turtles in this pandemic lockdown. No outdoor activity can take place in 2020 because of the global pandemic. The World Turtle Day 2020 focuses to bring attention and increase knowledge on the subject of tortoises and turtles, along with their conservation and management.

In India, there are more than 26 kinds of species, out of which 16 are found only in the river Ganga.
